Silhouette was founded in Linz, Austria, in 1964 by the optical toolmaker Arnold Schmied and his wife, Anneliese (both born in 1925). As a later slogan put in, they wanted clients to 'enjoy wearing glasses'. They began this endeavour with a female designer, Dora Demmel, and five employees, selling to four countries, but two years later they were supplying most of Western Europe.
Our collection is full of high end designer and couture eyewear brands.
Some of these fabulous vintage brands have completely avanished from the world. And though they may not be manufactured any longer we think they are all pieces of art.
Delivery
We generally mail our products with the "Nova Poshta" (shipping outside of Ukraine is sent by "airmail"). When placing an order, it is possible to enter an address for the delivery of couriers by mail " Nova Poshta " in Ukraine. For worldwide shipments we offer a choice of national mail services Ukrposhta or DHL, UPS. If you need express delivery, let us know and we will calculate the cost.
Payment
We accept Visa or MasterCard through Wayforpay secure payment system. Money is debited from the account only if the transaction is successfully completed, and a confirmation letter is sent to the email address. You can pay in cash upon delivery of the goods in Kiev, at the Nova Poshta" branch, or in the case of pickup in cash or by card.
